Bengkulu, April 14, 2025 – Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu officially launched the Immersion Program and Student Exchange in collaboration with the University of Luzon, Philippines. This international academic activity brings together 18 nursing students and 3 accompanying faculty members from the University of Luzon, who will participate in a week-long joint practice alongside nursing students from Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu.


The program commenced with an official opening ceremony followed by an Expert Lecture session. The lectures featured expert faculty members from both Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu and the University of Luzon, addressing key topics and global issues in nursing practice.




The academic session was followed by hands-on clinical practice across several healthcare institutions in Bengkulu City. The participants engaged in Medical-Surgical Nursing Practice at RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu, Nursing Management Practice at Harapan dan Doa Hospital, and Community Nursing Practice in Sawah Lebar Baru and Lempuing urban villages. In addition, they also took part in a Disaster Management module as part of their training in emergency preparedness.
This program aims to foster cross-cultural understanding in nursing care and broaden the students’ perspectives on healthcare systems across countries. Through this collaborative exchange, both institutions are committed to enhancing the global competence and professional readiness of their nursing graduates.
